Raffles Hotel has shown interest in my kind of tours! Now I am cracking my head over packaging!

Today, I passed by Raffles Hotel and decided to go in to collect brochures of similar heritage tours done by others, so that I know how much to price my tours. Somehow I took the courage to introduce myself to the staff and ask them if I can in future leave my tour brochures with the hotel. When the staff heard that I was doing specialised World War II heritage tours of Singapore, he told me that many of the clients staying at the hotel are British and Australians in their 50s to 60s who have heard of the war from their parents and have interest in such tours! The staff gave me a namecard so that I can forward my brochures and initineraries to him when I am ready. This is such a Godsend! I was suddenly very excited with the thought of such prospects. And this is just the first hotel I went to find out about publicising my tours!
However, I must be realistic and not be conceited too. I found out that there are already a few companies doing such tours. Although I believe that I can offer more to tourists with my professional knowledge and my uniforms and equipment, I must really package myself well to stand a chance. So the challenge now is again - packaging myself in such a way as to convince tourists that i have something special to offer them that others don't have. So now i am cracking my head over the design, words and photos in my brochures, the various itineraries, pricing, design of namecard and website. Oh, I really need help cause I am not creative at all in design! Fortunately, this is just a sideline for me, a new and interesting undertaking and I am doing it out of passion as well and not just for money. This is not going to be my main "rice bowl" so I should not feel pressurised by it. I should instead use this as an opportunity to learn new things and enrich my life. Suddenly, life seems so exciting again! My studies are getting on well. I am getting busy doing the things I love to do but I must not forget my resolution to change some aspects of my life, expand my social circle and pick up new skills along the way! Thank God for the "opening of doors"!
